No offense, but chances are if you have to ask a question like this, you are definitely not ready to even keep an arowana. They grow well up to four feet in length and are high maintenance. This means your tank will have to be atleast 150 gallons. Bare minimum.

As for flowerhorns...local fish shop. You'll need atleast a 50 gallon for these guys. Try to avoid dyed ones, it's absolutely disgusting how they dye fishes. Don't support them, despite the pretty (scary at times...) colors.

Check local petstores. Or, if you were wanting to, and willing to, order online, liveaquaria.com has a LOT of good fish/plants for sale.

there is a magazine called aquarium fish, they have listings in the back selling many different type of fish.
