My husband just went through the same thing. First..a company will not spend all that money on a drug test if they were not totally interested in you. As long as your not worried about the test, you should pretty much feel that you got it. Second, it took about a week and a half for my hubby to hear back with no holidays. I would give the company a follow-up call thanking them for the interview and to let them know you are still interested. Good Luck!!!

1. If your interview went anything like your quesion, you came off as very unprofessional. Typing in all caps, using very little punctuation (which makes it seem like you are talking very fast), and saying PLZZZZ do not convey a sense of responsibility or maturity. I am just being honest. Of course, they way you speak online is not necessariliy reflective of your real life demeanor.
2. Different firms have different policies. Sometimes being given a drug test is the last step, sometimes it is not. If they have not contacted you within a week, call back and ask. If they still say "we'll call you" and don't, they either take forever to call back (I once got a job after a month had passed) or have decided not to hire you. This decision is not necessarily dependant on the results of the drug test.

I wouldn't assume anything. Maybe they drug test everybody. I've been to my share of interviews that seem to go wonderfully and I never hear from them again. I would call them and see what's up. Tell them that you were interviewed on the 29th and you are anxious and excited about the job and were wondering what was happening. They may give you the run around, but you can find out something. Good luck!

Sounds like you're actuallly not hired yet, but they are interested in you. If they weren't they wouldn't send you out for a drug test. They probably need to do a background check on you and wait till everything turns out okay. Sounds like a pretty decent company. I've learned the better the company the longer it takes to get hired on. I got on with this drug company and it took them like two months before I heard anything. I just assumed they didn't want me until they finally called back after the 2 months and asked me to go to their orientation.

Well, the question is weather the drug test, did come back negative? Will it? You should be the best person to answer that question. Also, remember, ther are many ways to get "false positives". Meaning eating a poppy seed muffin, and that showing up as a cocaine user. Remember no news is good news, so hang in there. Good Luck!

i would say yes you got the job if they were going to pay for your drug test, on the other hand if they told you that they would call you than it IS NOT for sure, i would give them a call just to let them know that you are still interested and ask them if they have come up with a final conclusion yet. but that is just me.

give them until the end of the week, drug tests can take a while, they must be considering you though, otherwise they wouldnt go to the expense of a test

You don't want to appear desperate, so don't call.
Have you sent thank you emails to each of the interviewers?
This may not be a bad idea.

Show them that you are quite interested in the position and call them NOW. I personally wouldn't have waited this long.
