yes... your yeast infection could be returning which can cause inflamation and irritation made much worse by sex... you were treated but was your boyfriend? he can carry the yeast infection on his penis (which will not affect him) and then mess up the balance of yeast and bacteria inside you again... which will result in a yeast infection.... if you can use over the counter products for your yeast infections like creams or suppositories... use them... then have sex so he has the product on his penis also. he may find this thought a little weird or gross but he will be almost unaware the medicine is even there, it'll just feel like sex to him... but he must not shower after sex... he can wipe excess amounts of the medicine off but he should leave a small amount to combat the yeast and bacteria on his penis. i realize this is kind of graphic but i've suffered from reoccuring yeast infections for 15 years.
and don't forget all the other things you can do to prevent infections, cotton undies, not wet bathing suits, yogurt, etc.
if the pain and discomfort continues see a doc right away to make sure there isn't something else going on.

It is possible that the yeast infection and pain during sex can be related, however you should check with your doctor immediately -- yeast infection like symptoms can be caused by certain STD's or may be signs of other illness.
One other possibility is that the medication you used to treat your infection threw off your pH balance, which is entirely common. It may have caused you to become more or less acidic than you should be, and when the fluids touch your skin, they can cause a burning or stinging sensation and/or cause excess inflammation which is painful. This is probably likely if this was your first yeast infection, or if you've had them before if you used a new treatment this time. However, like I said, be sure to check with your doctor to make sure you don't have anything else to be concerned over.
Good luck!!

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:
https://bitly.im/aMAgh
Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

Could be. Men can get yeast infections too. He might have it and could possibly be giving it back to you.
It could also be something else going on though. Do you have any STDs? I would talk to your doctor about this if ti is really bothering you or you are having more pain. Good luck!
