I have aquired from a person in the Navy, 2 green glass? balls, that have a net covering. He told me they were boat floats on the vietnam-japanese boats during the war. Would like to know more about them. Thanks

They were Net Floats, a long net would be strong across a river or in a circle in the sea to net fish. The Glass was what they had back then . KOREAN BALL BUOY you can find them being sold on ebay and some have storys about them.

They are Bouys, in this day and age they use rubber bouys but once upkon a time they used glass balls that float. They would attach them to items that they wanted to keep afloat away from there boat.
