If people want to be technical then it was Tony Kappen in 1946-47 in the American Basketball League.
It was Moses Malone in 1974. He was supposed to go to the University of Maryland but got drafted by Utah instead. At the time it was the ABA.
Reggie Harding was the first player drafted into the NBA straight from High School.

The first player to go on to play professional basketball without going to college was Reggie Harding but it wasn't the NBA it was the ABA. Shawn Kemp was the first to go to the NBA. And for the guy down at the end, Moses Malone's nickname wasn't "Iceman". That was George Gervin's nickname.

IminLakerLand has the right answer. I'm not gonna repeat her answer. Sorry Raymond R. Technically, Shawn Kemp went to Jr College before being drafted even though he didn't play there ;).

For some reason, I keep thinking Shawn Kemp. Though he did go to college for a semester or something, he didn't play ball there.
