Yes they can sneeze. If your snake sneezes get it to a reptile vet immediately. It has a respiratory problem. If there isn't one in your area, then try to keep it warm and dry. I almost lost my red tailed boa because of this and a friend did lose a python. I slept with my boa for a week to get it over this. I also put it into warm (not hot) water for at least 10 minutes at a time, 3 times a day for at least a week. Just be sure to dry it thoroughly when you take it out of the water.

This illness usually happens in the winter if they get too cold. Check the heat source for your snake and make sure you keep it at the right temp.

I know most people may think this question is a joke, but it's not.

Yes. One of my snakes died from respiratory problem. If you keep several snakes in the same tank, I would advise to get all of them checked by a vet. It is usually better to take precautionary measure even if you don't notice any change in feeding pattern. Mine died even when it was eating regularly. My other snake was prescribed antibiotics and now it doesn't wheeze or sneeze anymore. When looking for a vet, be sure that the vet shows interest in handling reptile. Good luck.

I'm sorry, I just had to get involved in this question although I don't know the answer. This site really make you "think" and this is one of those questions!! It's like the comedian who heard the conversation of a girl who said "if it weren't for my horse I never would have gone to college" (that was funny) --- I have to admit - that's a good question. I'LL BET THERE IS A SNAKE EXPERT ON HER SOMEWHERE THOUGH. How much ya wanna bet you get a "real" answer??

No, because they can't cover their mouth and it is not polite to sneeze without covering your mouth. Snakes like to be polite.

But hey, they bite.
