I have DDD's and they are huge, even when losing weight they don't seem to get any smaller. It's awful trying to find bras to fit.

According to the National Clearinghouse of Plastic Surgery Statistics' 1999 Plastic Surgery Procedural Statistics survey, the average surgeons' fee for breast reduction (reduction mammaplasty) was approximately $5,600. Please note that 1999 is the last year in which the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) released a survey of reconstructive surgery fees. Year 2002 information from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) shows that the 1999 Clearinghouse Statistics information is still reliable.
In preparing the breast reduction prices and costs section of my website, I conducted an informal, small-sample survey of breast reduction costs in order to determine if the information from the 1999 survey was still relevant in 2003. The good news is that the plastic surgeon's fee for breast reduction has held fairly steady, with only a modest increase since the last price/cost statistics were released. The quoted range for breast reduction surgeon's fees in my survey ranged from $3,500 to $9,000.
The cost of breast reduction surgery varies by region, with higher than average fees found in the mid-Atlantic states, Texas and New York. Lower than average fees were generally found in the New England states, the Central and Mountain states.
Please note that the surgeon's fee does not generally include the cost of anesthesia, certain prescription medications, operating room, hospital or surgery center fees. This cost and pricing information should be used for general guidance only. You may find that there is a variance in costs, even within a given city, especially when the difference in all costs is factored in to the total price of the breast reduction surgery.

Luckily in Canada, if you are doing it because of back pain, it is covered, also, some insurances in the states cover it. If it is for cosmetic reasons only, then you pay up to 10,000. I had it done due to pain 5 years ago, and they just grew again. (I just had a baby) Wait till your done having children or they will regrow! The scars aren't that bad, definately better than the back pain!! And they are nice and perky after surgery too!!

Mine was $6,000 for the surgery itself. I believe it was an extra $1000 for the anesthesiologist. And then there were hospital costs. I was only in there for a few hours, but if it's more than 23, they charge more. I would get a consultation and they can send you a price quote.
I hope that you do get the surgery! It's worth every single penny!

Breast Reduction Surgery(all types of cosmetic surgery) is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges obesity surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your lobesity surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .
My cousin got her breast surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her .hope this helps

My cousin paid 4000$ for hers, but she got a really good well known doctor. They could go as low as 2000$, maybe even less. All doctors charge different fees. ohhhhhhh wait, it depends what country you live in... In the states, could be at least 10 000$ since the medical system is bad.

If you are wanting a reduction because of back problems, then insurance should cover some of it. I think around $8000 without.

About 3-5 K for a good doctor... but some insurances actually pay for it if you can have a doctor convince them you actually need it...
