The small cast of main characters (compared to what I usually read) that make it easy to read, yet at the same time, they're good books. I would also have to say that I like the age of the characters, Harry Potter is one of the few books I have read where the main character is a teenager and its not a cheezy, gimme plot.

The best part of Harry Potter is the characters. They are like old friends each time a new book comes out. They have the same quirks that anyone would carry with them throughout the years. Yet, they change subtly with each new year and experiences.

To me, it's the story; and not just the story, but the way that she pays tribute to other myths and legends by adding conceptual details from other stories here and there. I also like how she puts in sentences that at first seem like unimportant throwaway lines, but then later become massively important to the story. For instance, in the first book, Hagrid makes a passing reference to "young Sirius Black." We don't hear this name again until the third book, where he becomes one of the more important characters.

For the books - I think the way the bad guys get their just rewards is often clever and reminiscent of Roald Dahl (often like "Mathilda" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" in tone) and there is often a lot of humor just in the way things are described. I think the young actors are very appealing. The older actors are no slouches either. The music is extremely well done, also.

The best thing about Harry Potter is his loyalty to Dumbledore and his friends. He is a friend that people can count on in their time of need.

In my opinion the coolest thing about Harry Potter is the way the author works. She mixes lots of stories, ancient tales and myths and despite of the different sources the stories are coherent, integrated, original and entertaining. :)

The magic! How sweet would it be to be able to fly on a broomstick, or get my housework done with a flick of the wand? I'd have so much more time for more important things if I wasn't constantly washing dishes, doing laundry and changing diapers!

In the books, I like the writing and attention to detail.

In the movies, I like to see some of my favorite scenes acted out.

His resolution.
No matter how hard things came, he always affront them.
Alonside with the gothic, the clever trama and ofcourse that capcity of letting everyone take a ride to Hogwarts and see that even in our dreamscapes, we must stand and fight for them...
