Did you think Italy would make it? At first I thought Brazil would beat Italy, but when Brazil was beat, I knew Italy would win. What say you?

Italy played terrific during the entire tournament. They were a better team than France, but France had this "team of destiny" thing going...until Zidane dropped his head on that guy.
Italy had kind of a "bend but don't break" thing going. Germany and France both had many, many second half scoring chances, but nothing to show for them.
I never thought they were going to win, though. I liked Germany from the start, and I saw a championship mentality in France. Congrats to the Italians, especially Canavarro (sp?). That defender was huge all tournament.

Italy can easily win the world cup. Germany has never beaten Italy in a major tournament and brazil have never beaten Italy on european soil. Also the last time Italy won the World Cup was in 1982, and in that time their was also an italian scandal going on!!

No, I did not want Italy to win.
No, I did not think Italy would make it. Especially when they could not beat the U.S.
I thought they were outplayed, and the outcome was not indicative of their play

No. I think the French definitely played better.
France lost only because of the PK which to me comparable to Russian roulette, or sudden death, not soccer playing.
Fifa should bring in new rules, like in tennis for example where the players have to PLAY until someone wins 2 sets in a row, no matter how long it takes. The soccer players should play 15mn more each time if they are tied.

I was routing for Italy and France so the final was rather conflicting to watch. The whole Zidane thing put a damper on all of it for me though.

Well I wanted Brazil,Germany,and France to win.I thought Italy cheated,my opinion.I just didn't think it was fair,and France would have won if it wasn't for Zidane,well I don't blame him.

well i wanted italy to win at the beggining and when i heard they were going to play france i knew at that point italy was going to take it.

No but to fix the problem :
- 2 cups, one for Italy and one for the rest of the world.
Give them one before the games start so they will be happy and celabrate ,while we watch the real thing.
