i am planning to do my masters in finance. does it have maths as its subject if i am doing ? or is it really important that my maths should b great if i want to do this ? plz help .............any one doing.

It depends on what you want to do with your finance degree. If you want to manage a bank branch you don't need the strong analytical skills; a bank loan officer, for example, should have strong taking-the-client-out-golfing skills but not necessarily any big time math ability.

But if you want to be at the higher levels of the investment profession, especially when dealing with more complex instruments like derivatives, or if you want to move high up into a corporate finance department, you need strong math skills. Period. A year or more of calculus with a strong dose of statistics as a minimum. Analytical computer skills are also required.

Sure you can get by with out strong math skills, but you'd definitely be second tier in the finance profession.

Finance does require mathematics, as math is involved in it. No, you do not need to be really good at it, but it does help. If I were you I would take a refresher course in mathematics to give me the edge I needed to be able to succeed as an accountant OR bookkeeper. (same as financier)
