Leaving Las Vegas isnt as cheap as getting there. Its always the other way around. To Memphis you are going to want to try Northwest, that is their hub and you can go Non-Stop. Always try to book non-stop when you can. This eliminates chances of being caught in delays. There's only a $20 price difference booking non-stop with Northwest and any other carriers connection options. Even if its not much more, saving $50 over adding hours with a connection really isnt worth it. Always try to book non-stop when the option is available.
If your schedule is flexible, stay away from Friday and Sunday departures and returns, those are the two most expensive days. Look at Mon-Thurs and Sat with Tues/Wed being the least expensive days. Book 30 days in advanced to have the best price options. As of right now, 30 day advanced purchase non-stop you are looking at $375.21 after taxes on NW which is even cheaper than any travel sites Ive found.
You can check the travel websites but also go directly to Northwest's website to compare prices. Priceline, Cheaptickets, Hotwire, Lowestfare and the other websites that offer you a price before telling you information lock you into the ticket and you can not for any reason make changes. The airlines will not touch these tickets should there be any problems. Ive found better deals with the airline itself in all of my research Ive done over time. Plus you avoid booking fee's the other websites charge. The main thing no matter what site you use, READ ALL OF THE FARE RULES before purchasing so that you know what you are agreeing to.
**Southwest does not serivice Memphis. Ive found cheaper fares on other airlines most times and don't care for the cattle call style seating**

You will probably find the cheapest ticket on Southwest Airlines which flies from Memphis to Vegas. But unless you book a month or two in advance you will not get their cheapest fare.

I use lowestfares.com or orbitz. Sometimes calling the airlines directly can give you the best deal. Try Southwest airlines if they have a route for NV to TN. Good luck
