That could go for many other super heroes too.

The main thing that validates your point is Bruce Wayne's life. Unlike in the movies, he doesn't have personal friends, or girlfriends. He's never really had a love interest. The person he was closest too was Robin. And Robin was a superhero. Even when Batman broke his back and Bruce sort of dropped off the face for a while, noone was knocking on his door to find out where he was. Bruce Wayne doesn't need to make friends because he really doesn't exist.

Yes, it is generally considered canon in the DC Comics universe that Batman is the actual personality, and Bruce Wayne is merely a cover identity.

That's the whole point of the batman, batman is his real persona, Bruce Wayne is the alter ego. Bruce Wayne provides the funds and the alibis, and Batman does his thing

I think the seed of the true personality, ie the vigilante/hero persona was 1st hinted at on the kids face in the 1st movie(Michael Keaton) when his parents are killed, Knox fefers to the look on his face and , in my opinion, thats when batman was born, it just took time to develop the man, the personality was there right from that point.
Ps.and yeah, the Bruce Wayne persona is merely a cover (although he seems to have the same morals in either guise)
Pps. yeah we are sad, but at least I'm not a trekkie lol

Considering Superman (Kal-El) is the reality and Clark Kent is the assumed identity, you may have a point. His LEGAL ID would still be Bruce Wayne, although you may be right in that Wayne has subordinated hmself to Batman.

i'm a lot less acquainted with Superman, yet i understand for positive that Bruce is compelled for public approval, like a goth pretending to be a preppy. Clark is a useful guy even as Superman is extremely a douchebag. yet i do not examine his comics. i like my heroes extra mistaken, brooding, & messed-up interior the top.
