Not so hard, but extremely rare. I've got a female friend that's really up on her knowledge of football (and sports in general), but she's the only one I know. Most females that claim to "like football" couldn't tell a personal foul from a personal trainer...they seem to say it simply to attempt to hold a man's attention; thus all the smart remarks and technical questions that you get which pretty much attempt to separate fans from busters (or, in this case, busterettes)...I'm very much in the habit of asking females similar questions, especially when they claim to be "big fans" of the game, when in truth, all they know is "someone in a pretty uniform is trying to move the ball into the painted grass area, at which time I should shout and celebrate with the guys, so they'll respect me"...if a woman knows the game, it'll show...game recognizes game, period...

Football is definitely a testosterone driven sport. But that does not mean that we, as women, cannot understand it. Of course we do! I am a HUGE fan. I REFUSE to leave my house on Sunday and Monday from August-February! I love football very much!
I don't understand why people think it is "weird" for a woman to love football....I do know that people who think that are idiots!

I guess so. Society has it set in most people's minds that it's not natural for a girl to like football, or any other sport deemed "a man's sport." It's been a weird sterotype for the longest time in our nation, but oh well we can't change society's mind but then again they can't change yours. To be honest, I think it's cool that you like football; it makes you different from other girls ;)

There is nothing wrong with it at all. I suggest that you memorize a question that you can answer back with. Like: Who were the top three rushers and their yardage last year? And what teams did they play for? Make sure you know the answer, even write it down and keep it with you until you have it memorized. If you need help just e-mail me.

people think that it's weird because, typically, football is considered to be an activity associate with boys, just as playing with dolls is associated with girls. The stereotypes regarding the sexes are perpetuated by society (tv in general).

That's odd. For most guys, a woman that likes football is a dream come true.

Because they like to think of it as a man's sport and think that no woman can possibly know more about it than they do. But I not only love it, I play it!

No because some guys are like super competitive and really hate being like compared to a girl. I'm not like that, I like girls that watch things I watch!
