Are you going sometime soon? Keep in mind that it will be HOT through September. Also, unless y'all have lots of money for parking, remember that you will be walking almost everywhere. Whenever I travel to the city, I take a pair of cushiony flip-flops that are guaranteed not to blister, and a cute tote. I walk in my flops (or tennis shoes if you can be casual) and carry my nicer shoes in my tote. The tote is also great for carting around recently purchased souveniers, a water bottle, and an umbrella on bad weather days. As for basic clothes, keep in mind that Washington is a professional town, and ultra-sexy, revealing clothes are only prevalent in certain areas. The nightlife in the city tends to be more casual than most, and you would be fine with some designer jeans, a hot top, and some high heeled sandals, with great jewelery. For the day, dress for your activity. Sight seeing? Shorts and a t-shirt. A tour of the Capital Building? Keep in mind you have to go through extensive security, and don't bring a bunch of stuff you don't need. For your banquet, simple and sophisticated should be the order of the day. No one ever went wrong with a simple black dress and black fabric sandals. Have fun, and if you get an opportunity, get some chocolate banana french toast at Bread and Chocolate - YUMMY!

I am not sure how formal the banquet is. D.C. often has business casual functions that might just require nice slacks and blouse, or a respectable summer dress.
If you are touring through the capitol, a small bag, or backpack is OK, but expect to have these searched if you go into some building such as the Smithsonian, or monuments. I good digital camera is nice, and dollars and change to use in the metro.
Summer in Washington D.C. is very hot and humid, and be sure to wear something cool yet respectable while touring.
Enjoy yourself. Washington D.C. is a very interesting city.

You need all the basics (change of underwear, deoderant, etc) but the stuff they have in the hotel is shampoo and conditioner, shower gel, soap. You may wanna bring your own toothpaste and brush. They'll supply a hairdryer but they're usually rubbish so if you rely on a good one then bring it, and brushes and styling products. You have to bring your make-up and all that stuff too
Bring 2 changes of casual clothes and your evening wear. Don't forget shoes and a nice little handbag for the evening ;)
Hope I helped :)

Whether your legal separation leads to divorce or reconciliation you want to behave during the separation in a way that means getting the most out of what you are trying to do. A legal separation gives you the space you need to solve problems, come to terms with your emotions and start over, either in your marriage or alone. How you behave during a legal separation will determine how successful you are in whatever your motives for separating. Below is a list of behaviors that will either work in your favor or work against you: don’t engage in behaviors that will be hurtful to your spouse or your children. don't have sex with spouse. A legal separation is not a divorce. It is not an opportunity to go out and become involved in a new relationship. It is the opportunity to heal, reflect on your part in the marital problems and to learn how to live as a single parent if you have children. Keep the lines of communication with your spouse open. If you are angry deal with your anger in a way that will enable you to remain civil and respectful toward your spouse. Being able to communicate and treat each other with respect will mean less stress for you, your spouse and your children. f you have children set up a visitation schedule that allows them time with each parent. A separation and divorce should disrupt your child’s life as little as possible. But going out with friends is ok if done reasonable.

The one thing I can tell you - it is summer - it does get hot there (was born in DC). Wear something light - and you'll probably do some walking, right - sightseeing? If so, take the most comfortable pair of shoes you have. It's a fun place - have a blast!!

Born & raised there. Bring SHORTS. It's going to be HOT. Hot & STICKY. DC is one of the more HUMID places on the earth. They drained a freakin' swamp to build the city, so you can also bring some bug spray!
