LOL, obviously not. This contest of "best defense" is really really boring, they are killing the magic real players like Pele or Don Diego made back then.
A final decided by penalties? Pfft, I didn't liked that even when Brazil won in 94 that way, there shouldn't be penalties on the finals...
Now, unless they really change the rules, the next tournament will be another boring one, since Italy proved you don't need the best team, just the best defense and a decent counterattack to win.
Grats to the german anyway, this is the best hosting of a WC ever, and their team was an interesting one to watch too.
And both finalists should have lost if it wasn't for the referee's help at some point, so this final is far from reflecting reality.
But for as long the fans only demand from Brazil a "joga bonito" (play beautifuly), it will be a bunch of ugly games until you find the winner. People have to see the difference between the drama of seeing your team playing, and feeling excited with a good game. For as long as "winning is the only thing that matters" is true, we'll only find interesting the games of our own teams, with all the drama and stuff.

Absolute disaster.
They make it look good but it is rotten deep inside.
It's all about money just like the scandal in Italy.
It's too late to do anything, cancer in terminal phase.
Italy won ? wow, bravo.....way to go....
make 2 trophees: one for Italy, one for the rest of the world.Give the first one to Italy before the start so they know they will have one, and then start the games.

No I feel it was a dissapointment. No team played like a world champion. And the poor officiating ruined it even more so.
