This truk will run but the fuel pump will not

There is not any computer code that will shut down the fuel pump. However, there are many sensor input signals TO the computer, and if one of these signals is not correct or missing, the computer won't allow the fuel pump to run. There is also the possibility that the fuel pump is getting a signal from the computer to "run", but the pump itself is defective. IMHO, your best bet is to take it to a trusted mechanic and have the computer system tested with a scan tool. He should be able to tell you within about an hour what the problem is and an estimate to repair it. HTH!! Good Luck!!

i assume what you say is it starts than quits if so the only thing i can think of is the oil press sending unit thc computer dosent controle it any other way
here is how it works when you turn ignition on fuel pump comes on 2 seconds when you crank fuel pump is on when car is running a signal from the ignition module keeps it on if the oil press drops it turnes it off
if it never comes on it is a fuse the relay or the pump can be checked with a test light
dont just ad a relay as that will bypass any safty fetures dont disconect batery there isnt a code anywhere that will do this or cause it

If there was a code, leaving the negative battery terminal disconnected for awhile should clear it. Check the wiring on the fuel pump or replace the pump.

NO, THERE ISN'T!!! if the fuelpump is not getting a signal from the computer then go around it by putting a relay in to supply power to the fuel pump when the key is on.
