Does anyone know if it will be made into a movie?

I too enjoyed that novel as well as past novels written by Pat Conroy. I hope that should it ever become a movie, that it doesn't fall into the hands of Barbra Streisand! She completely butchered his novel "The Prince of Tides!" I suggest reading some of his other novels such as "The Water is Wide",and "The Great Santini". Both of which have been made into a movies as well.

I have never heard anything that it would be. I don't think Hollywood could do it justice. The characters, plots, themes, and the book in general has way too much dimension and emotion for a film to capture. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see it as a movie, simply because I love any chance to relive the novels I read. But I think inevitably I would be disappointed by it. Prince of Tides is also very good if you wanted to try some more Pat Conroy.
