Joe Paterno of Penn St. Last year, he proved that he's still got "it". People said that he was too old to coach and that the game had passed him by... Yeah right.....all he did last year was coach his team to a 11-1 record, finished in the top 5. The only loss was to Michigan 27-25, in a game which they should have won. He's been coaching for 40 years...unbelievable.

Present - Joe Paterno, hands down. But what do you expect from someone who bleeds blue n white.

Past - Bear Bryant

The "past" coach will change if Joe Pa ever retires or dies (but I think he's immortal so he'll have to retire).
