Last Christmas, Variety ran an article about the release date being bumped from July 14th (this Friday) to Feb 16, 2007 (3 months before Spider Man 3) citing Sony's marketing departmental shuffle as the hang-up... but do you really believe that one?
Haven't heard anything new since that. At that time, they were re-tooling Goyer's script to be PG!!!! instead of R as it was originally written. Johnson (of Daredevil) as director and also starring Eva Mendes; Sony's website shows Nic Cage as Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze himself. check it out at http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/ghostrider/

I have seen the preview of it and it looks great! I don't know the story of the Ghost Rider, but I am definitely going to check it out! I hope you see the preview soon if you haven't already! It is cool!
