Tell them straight up and cut off all ties with this person b/c they will get the wrong impression if u dont. They will think there is still a chance.

Just tell them in a nice way that you are not interested in them in a romantic way and would rather just be friends. Or call them up and tell them it's over. Or don't call and avoid their phone calls and they will get the message.
