My friend came in to town last night and we were hanging out all day. When she dropped me off i went to my room getting ready for bed thinking she was going back home. Then I heard her an my mom laughing and drinking with out me WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??? and she just met her that night too I just don't know how to take this.....She does this to all my friends does she want to be young again??.

Some moms grow up slow and can't get over the fact that they were the popular girl in high school and was the head cheerleader and dated the best looking guy and blah blah blah and now they're just a MOM. So they want to hang around young people and feed off their energy, sort of like Dracula. Try this test: Tell you mom that you and your friend are going to hang out somewhere (if you are drinking age, pick a bar). Ask you mom is she wants to come along. A mom that knows her place will say no. I'm guessing your mom will jump at the chance and go change her clothes into her "sexy" jeans.

I don't know what's up with that but your mom needs to chill. I am a mother of two daughters, 11 & 14. I am cordial to their friends but I don't get overly involved with their friends. I want there to be boundaries in our relationships. I would never party or drink with my girls' friends. By the way, I don't drink at all. However, I do love a good party with people my own age, my own friends. Perhaps your mom is lonely and sees you establishing your own identity with your own friends and she wants to be cool with your friends so that she can be in your "inner circle". Talk to her about how uncomfortable this makes you. If she doesn't back off, meet your friends away from your house. Don't bring them around her.

Your mom just wants to fit in with your friends so that she can be close to you. It's hard for a mother to see her child grow up and not need her anymore. Try spending some Mother/Daughter time together so she feels needed and she won't have to try so hard to get your attention.

my mom gets along and sometimes hangs out with us its no big. it just mean that one your mother approves of your friends and second your friends like your mom, and shes not trying to be young. so get over it and leave her ALONE remember that your not the only one in the house aloud to have friends of different ages. that is the truth..

Drinking with your friends, are they of age? She could get into a lot of trouble for that. You need to sit down and talk to her. Your friends can be friendly to her but not in that way. Put your foot down about this, you have a right.

Just because your mom was interested in your friend isn't any reason to get your feathers all ruffled. If your friend likes you, then chances are your friend will like your mom. You need to lighten up. She probably just wants to make sure you are okay.

your mom just wants to know your friends, some want to be young again but other just want to make sure you are going to be ok. my mom talks to my boyfriend when i go to bed so dont think to much about it. good luck

your mom just wants to be close to you and no what kind of friends you have and also she maybe doesn't have any adult friends so tell your friends mom to hang with your mom ,,, or something like that
