I have only had one major credit card and I just got approved for a Victoria's Secret card. So I have only had my major credit card for like 5months. I need a personal loan for up to $3000. I can afford the monthly payments but where can I go? I stay in Chicago.

First, be careful when using the Victoria Secret credit card. Those kinds of credit cards normally have high interest rates. If you are going to purchase something on that card, PLEASE make sure you pay it off when you receive the bill. The more time you allow to pass without paying the balance in full, the more you will have to pay. And, that is the fastest way to get into debt.

Back to your question, you can get a personal loan depend upon your ability to pay. Eventhough you do not have a lot of credit, it still comes down to your ability to pay. You can try your bank, but watch for the interest rate. Hope this helps!
