I've noticed today that people on both sides of the political spectrum are starting to get annoyed with all of the bashing. Conservatives are telling each other to shut-up and ask a real question, liberals are voting best answers for conservatives who give the best answer, and irisharpist and therandman both gave non-insulting answers to my question about Ann Coulter. Can we finally work together to answer some of these questions respectfully?

I'm feeling the love...yes, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and people tend to hear each other when that opinion is expressed with respect.

My thoughts too. It is time to discuss things not call one another names. Most of the time I try not to and there are even questions I'll avoid because I don't want to give them the satisfaction of getting nuts. I have gotten some well thought out answers and I really appreciate it when that happens. Republican and Democrats alike. Thank you for that.

I have found many liberals who ask intelligent, interesting questions who's answer required quite a bit of thought to answer. Even some of your questions have been pretty good (your emails in response to my questions have been a bit on the hyperventilating side) But unlike many (notice I say many not all) liberals I still believe that America's best days are ahead of it and that America still stands for freedom, and personal choice. I still get misty when I see Old Glory waiving in the wind or hear the Star Spangled Banner sung. Maybe I am naive but I still think that people flock to this country not just to take advantage of free money or welfare but to work hard and build a dream. I for one am tired of the Hate America Cynics and their constant hand wringing and complaining. This is still the greatest country in the world and if you don't like my view well too bad because I am still free to express it.

This was the most civil and thoughtful group of answers I've read in a long time . Give yourselves a pat on the back . We can disagree with each other politely and still get our point across and learn something about each other at the same time . Thank you all. Very enjoyable . I'm not a liberal nor a Conservative and I can learn too.

I am willing and ready, "MA'AM". I have said it many times before - the differences of both parties can create strength by having middle ground policies that work for all Americans. In the last 6 years - liberals have only opposed anything the Bush administration proposes, and the conservatives have let Bush run a little too wild. Opposites attract and create good working together.

the randman doesnt name call but he spills lies and revises history for his political agenda. a liar is just as harmful as namecalling.
here goes randman with the namecalling again- you need to stop lying about being a moderate and seeeking middle ground. i have heard you namecall liberals such as typical and nut. by the way im a 3.5 gpa student and a grad student at usc. i guess you need to find another name or rant. tell the truth better yet everybody look at his answers- the truth is in his words, a right wing nut. his kind is the most dangerous he will lie and lie and lie, facts mean nothing.. it is fuuny how much you lied just of this last answer alone- moderate, middle ground. notice how i didnt resort to namecalling like mr. moderate.

No dear, we are going round in circles - especially those on 'both sides of the political spectrum'.

It would be nice if that were truly the case - we can hope it is 'eh?
but - alas, the pessimistic side of me says that it will only last until the next election comes around...

the left/right segregation in based on ignorance. maybe people are seeing how stupid they sound when they try to slander the other side with generalizations that backfire every time.
