Joining the priethood to serve god is like trying to find a hidden message in a Beatles song.I am sure you can do it, but that was'nt what it was intended for.
Why does the church protect these people,it's been going on for centurys.

Apparantly true according to wikipedia: "When ultimately the King's good success disposed the Pope in favor of reconciliation, Paul II died, on July 26, 1471 of a heart attack while engaging in sexual acts with a page boy."

Maybe you should read up as to what the Catholic priesthood is all about (and read it with an open mind) before attacking it. The first rule about arguing is to know what you are talking about. Modern society's obsession with the Catholic priesthood (only in the negative aspect -- scandals, abuse, etc.) shows that it is incapable to thinking objectively. If you do not personally agree with the priesthood, then that is fine. But it does not give you the right to bash it in a totally gratuitous, unfounded manner.

Read this in a copy of bizarre magazine and this was not the only perverse pope but is this type of behaviour confined to the catholic faith or do the others keep it under wraps better

When I was a Christian I was a protestant. I don't think that stuff happens quite so much but it sure does happen.
