Believe me, I know a lot about sunburns. Whatever you do DON'T take a hot shower. They actually make sunburns worse. Try taking a cold or lukewarm bath and putting almost pure aloe vera gel on the burns. I use a product by J/A/S/O/N and it is 98% aloe vera and it makes the burns fade a lot faster. Before you go in the sun, it also helps to use sunscreen with Zinc to help the sunscreen stay on longer. I have just started using Zinc sunscblock and it has worked very well, a lot better than regular sunblock. Hope I helped!

Take cool showers - that will help relieve the pain. Put on a gentle lotion (like one with aloe vera) several times a day. Take an aspirin to reduce the swelling/redness.

Put some vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray your burned area till you are soaked. Let that dry then smear with aloe vera gel. Set in front of a fan.

you can't get rid of it fast. it takes time to heal a sun burn! i would put a lot of aloe vera lotion, something to moisterize your skin, and try not to go outside to often, and if you do, cover up a little bit. try asking your doctor about these things!!! and/or check out yahoo! health. they have some great info. about these things.

I have this stuff that my fiance's mom recommended to me. She uses is when she gets burnt at the tanning salon. You can use it when you just have a tan though, it doesn't just work for sunburn. Anyway, it's called Tan Insurance. It helps make the tan last longer and helps with sunburn as well. It's blue. It's kinda hard to find. Call around to your local tanning salons and if that doesn't work, I ordered from online. Good luck! Oh, and if you can't find it. The blue aloe works better than the green.

my grandson got a bad burn while visiting me last week .i put one cup of apple cider vinegar in a cool bath and had him soak , then i put calamine lotion on him and let him lay on white sheets , colored ones would cause problems with a burn infection and such . the next morning i put aloe gel on him after he bathed again in vinegar water and the burn wasn't so painful . I've done this for all my kids too and it has worked even for myself

I always take a soft cloth, dip it in milk straight from the fridge and apply it to my sunburn. My mom always did that to me as a child and it works everytime.
It helps cool it down and I even noticed that I would get a nice light tan out of it as well.

Don't know if you can mend your skin faster, but aloe, either straight from the plant or bottled, will ease the pain, and you can use it more often than man-made stuff like Solarcaine.. It will also add moisture to your skin..
