I love it. Its highly effective and you only have to remember it once a month. I understand that some women don't feel comfortable w/ it. But when I talked to my Dr. about it he said the the ring in his experience had the fewest number of women switch shortly after. And from my experience, he was right. I don't even know it there. The nuvaring site even has a down-loadable timer that puts off an alarm when you need to take it out and put it in. So for me I don't even have to remember to look at the calendar, my computer tells me. If you liked the convince of the patch, I would say you def. have to try it. I recommend it to all my friends and family. Its the best method Ive ever tried.

I also was on the OrthoEvra patch and decided to switch to the NuvaRing. I really like the ring. There is no discomfort, I can't even tell it is there. I have recommended the ring to several people and so far I have heard nothing but good things. I have a really busy schedule and it is nice to not have to worry about my birth control, did I remember to take it? or the patch falling off or irritating my skin. I am glad I made the switch two years ago and will continue using the Nuva Ring.

I *LOVED* the NuvaRing. It was the easiest to use by far ... just slip it in 1x/month and take it out 3 wks later.
However, I believe that it has similar risks (blood clots, strokes, etc.) as the patch ... it's basically the same meds in a different delivery method. But I liked it way way way better than the patch!

i believe like the patch it is still hormone based, and carries the risk of blood clots and has the same risk as the pill or patch. A non hormonal method may be better like a I.U.D

I have alot of female issues, and have been put on just about everything....I dont like the ring!! its like a small jelly braclet out of the frick'n gum ball machine just up in you....chill'n! Sometimes you have to dig to get it out & often the way I would sit in a chair was uncomfortable....But hey, thats jus me, everyone is different!

It takes some time getting used to it and even though its not supposed to get in the way, it does. Then its easy to forget you've taken it out. Plus it has to be refrigerated (the ones you aren't using). I found it to be very inconvenient and switched to the pill.

Yeah, my best friend used it after she had her baby last november and she's pregnant again. This will be her 3rd child. She has a 5 year old, and an 8 month old. I wouldn't try it.

I was a group of test patients about 4 years ago... HATED IT! It would kinda come out, or at least be at the edge of coming out. And, my boyfriend thought it was funky,he could feel it w/ his hands. Don't bother w/ it.

Well, if you like sticking rubber rings up your cooter and your man likes the feeling of it rubbing his thing raw...its great! Otherwise, it really sucks!
