Poland compared to many other countries in the Eastern bloc is much better off and is growing faster and recieving aid from the E.U. Despite corruption do you think Poland could become a European superpower on a small scale? The president of Poland Lech Kaczinski's twin brother Jaroslaw has just been elected Prime Minister. Will this hurt Poland? Remeber that Poland has one of the largest young adult populations in Eastern Europe and 97% of Polish young adults can speak two languages and have college education.What do you think?

Poland will regain its position of power in Europe with the help of the US. The rest of Europe is too frieghtened to fight for their beliefs and freedom. Poland showed great courage in sending troups to fight that dictator, Sadam Hussein. They remember Hitler and Stalen.

However, the fact that they receive the most aid from the EU is very detrimental.

Polish people have a lot of pride and (relatively speaking) are quite liberty minded. Aid from the EU can only hurt that mentality.
