Yes, and no, I wasn't uncomfortable.
It's completely different than simply being "naked" in public, because no one is leering at you. It's actually rather tedious, and hard work, not moving. Exhausting, really. I didn't do it for very long. Digging ditches would be easier on the body I think.

No. And I never will.
I frequently swim topless, with friends (m & f) and am not afraid to show off my boobs. But very rarely do I swim nude, and I've only done so once in mixed company on a dare.
When I finish swimming I get dressed and the show's over. I have total control over who sees me, how much they see and when. If someone takes a photo, or paints or draws a picture, I can't control who sees it.

All my models are skiddish at first, but after making them comfortable they seem to go with the flow. It's more the initial pose that makes them nervous.

Yes, once for a girlfriend who was into photography. All was tastefully done. It was only she and me. I was not uncomfortable but we also had a couple glasses of wine.
