Not really, I'm a BC Eagles Fan....you know the "Holy War" thing and all, but I do like Charlie Weis, so I hope he has a good season, since Notre Dame is not playing BC this year, so if they do great things, I won't feel so bad.

I'm a student there, so how could I not be? The funny thing is that I really didn't care one way or another but ND football until the summer before freshman year. But once you're there...well it's impossible to resist the indescribable Irish mystique. One of the greatest experiences of my life has been jumping up and down on those rickety wooden benches with 8,000 of my classmates. Win or lose, it's always worth it.

I disagree including your premise that ND is 'trapped' and unable to make BCS video games. purely inspect 2005 and 2006 on your counterexamples! Notre Dame's nationwide popularity enable them to have their personal clause contained in the BCS guidelines which means that they are nevertheless thoroughly waiting to play contained in the BCS. Now granted, in the journey that they were in a convention the prospect may exist for them to earn a BCS bid in spite of no longer deserving it (Florida St. contained in the 2006 Orange Bowl in spite of being #23; Pitt contained in the 2005 Fiesta Bowl in spite of a #21 score), yet i imagine it truly is plenty better the exception than the guideline, i.e., the communities that win the BCS conferences are commonly accurate 10 communities. So if Notre Dame may hardly be better guaranteed of a probability at a BCS bid, what may they lose? properly, scheduling for particular. Notre Dame continually has between the hardest schedules contained in the rustic because they could %. and choose who they play. better importantly, Notre Dame has rivalries with colleges in the course of the rustic. starting to be a member of a convention may make it very puzzling for the Irish to nevertheless play Michigan, Purdue, Michigan St., USC, military, Boston college, Stanford, Pitt, et. al. on an primary foundation. self sufficient status supplies ND unequalled scheduling flexiblity as evidenced by technique of sequence with Miami, Florida St., Oklahoma, Georgia Tech, Penn St., and Tennessee. no longer to tutor starting to be a member of a convention may placed a extreme crimp on Notre Dame's football sales which, after all, are the reason a small college in northern Indiana has been waiting to grow to be the most proper Catholic college in u.s.. in short, ND is purely no longer starting to be a member of a convention any time quickly because it is purely no longer positive for them. no longer from the element of view of funds, id, or competition.

I'm a serious ND Fan and can't wait for September 2nd when we get the season underway at Georgia Tech... It's ABC's first primetime game of the season at 8PM... Can't wait to see the offense and the new plays Weis has added to the playbook!
