My ex and I broke up 2 1/2 years ago and I am happily married now but the other day I saw him with his son (they didnt see me) and I miss his son sooo much! I havent seen him since his dad and I split. I was his "Mom" in a sense for 7 years after all. I just wanted to run to him and hug him and hold him but new I couldnt. It hurt soo bad to watch him walk away I seriously thought I was gonna cry. He is 10 now and getting sooo big! Is that strange considering I have a whole new life now and am really happy with my husband?

Talking to his dad is not somthing I can even consider. We didnt seperate on happy terms. Usually if we run into eachother one of us ends up getting pissed and I usually get hurt.

It's not strange, it's quite natural to feel the way you do you love his son and you bonded with him just like he was your own.
You didn't say you wanted to hug and hold the dad so your feeling this way isn't doing any harm to your happy marriage.
You had been his "Mom" in a sense for almost 7 years and you have a right to want to be a part of his life even though you and your ex have gone separate way it don't erase the love you have acquired for his son

It's not strange like u said u was his mother for 7 or more years, U was a very important role in his life and i'am pretty sure he wouldv'e been happy to see u if u would've went over there ad did what you felt in your heart to do

Its nice you have feelings like a real mother for that boy but I don't really think you should try anything because your ex is his father and he wont be glad and boy is only ten. But you can send him email, birthday card or something.
