Jitters can be good sometimes. They can really help you perform under pressure. BUT they shouldn't be something you have to live with constantly, especially when nothing very stressful or exciting is happening in your life.

Quick things to try:

1) Count back wards from 100 to zero. (good for falling asleep)

2) Yoga - or if that sounds intimidating, just stretching while taking deep breaths. (good for general day to day relaxation)

3) What memory do you have when you were the most relaxed and peaceful? Picture yourself there now. What do you see? What do you hear? What do you feel? (good for instantly calming down a bit anytime anywhere.)

Also, for the long run, try to identify things that get you jittery, and see what life changes you can make to help. Maybe there are some fears that need to be overcome, maybe there are some annoying things that just need to be avoided. When I got a closer job, and ditched the commute, I became a much calmer person.

Good luck.

what I do is think calm and happy thoughts. Whenever I do something that makes my body feel like that (and i'm not sick) I try to find out what it was that made me feel like that and I correct it.
Good luck!!
