I have purchased a grill cover, but it doesn't work.

It is a gas grill and when I light the grill they jump out, but when the grill is off they infest again. The cover hasn't worked and I don't want to put any pesticides on it that could potentially contaminate my food!

Nasty....well you can't use pesticide. Stick with an orange peel spray. They don't like it.

spray the inside of your grill with oven cleaner, let it sit as directed on the can, and wipe it down. Also, make sure if you have a grease trap you empty it. Earwigs like the residue from sweet and grease, not chemicals.

Set out an empty margarine container near the BBQ, but not close enough to melt, and fill it with vegetable oil
It will fill with earwigs at night while you sleep - they climb in but can't get out

Is this in your grill or in your sauce? I am not sure what earwigs are, but it doesn't sound appetizing.

buy charcoal and lighter fluid and engulf the grill in flames, it worked for me
