No adaware is not going to log any keystrokes.

Also, there are such things as cookied that are considered safe spyware. All they do is keep a cookie of the one place you went to, for advertising purposes, because they need to find a targeted audience. They arent really spying on you though, lol.

Dont give your password out to anyone requesting it through your Email box. The only passwords in an Email box should be incoming, not outgoing.

And dont fall for those Email scams that say you bought or won something, or are an heir to something, or anything like that, especially if you didnt buy anything. Often times they have a fake website that will look like paypal or something, or they will request your personal information, even financial. Just click spam, and be done with them, lol. Even the ones that look like your bank, saying theres a problem- there is no WAY your bankers are stupid enough to Email that kind of thing out. They would send you the information via snail mail. Some spammers will crawl the web and find out something you said in a post, so be careful, and know your banks website name and all that. If you get an Email like that, check with your bank's REAL website, by typing it in, and all that- and call them from the phone number on your paper statement to verify that it was just a spam mail. Click on "full headers" if someone actually goes this far and forward it to reportabuse@yahoo-inc.com

As for yahoo and adaware and all that- its safe, dont worry.

I saw many saying "yes"

I fell they don't know the meaning of Adware. Only one right Answer I saw in the whole list that says.

Adware don't this kind of stuff. They just record the nature of sites you visit to and kind of stuff you do on the net so they can place a ad in the right manner to a right person.

Only spywares with the help of key-logger does the act of recording the keystrokes etc. As this is the stuff required to some one else they send the information entered by you to other Email Id. So be care full of Spywares.

Yes. It is rare but if you have a keylogger, it will record a lot of stuff in your computer and when you log in to something. Some adwares like Surf Sidekick, will change your computer key. So don't go to www.surfsidekick.com
it sucks.
To prevent adware, you should get the free McAfee SiteAdvisor.

It is possible. And it doesn't matter if the network connection is encrypted - the data can be seen by a resident program prior to encryption.
