Here are some links - expecting your friend has got a working permission for Germany or is citizen of an EC country.

Of course it would be more sensible to write what kind of jobs come into question - education...?

tell him to get the "stuttgarter news paper" or call a temp office , or he can get in touch with the Arbeitsamt" if your friend is not german, he needs to apply for a workpermitt
