I have no idea what scratching is, but Windows x-p is about to go out of date. In January Windows Vista is coming out. It is supposed to eleminate the vulnerability of x-p and simplify use. See Microsoft.com.

Dont scratch it too hard as you may open a wound. If your laptop was running on window 98 previously then keep it that way as older laptops are not equipped properly for xp.

Finding all the drivers and doing all the updates again - u could get virused whilst u update ur updates, if u know what i mean.
Also if ur xp is bent m/soft have more checkin nowadays too.

Yeah but as with anything todo with microsoft and others. They want to know what makes you tick so beware new stuff which hasn't yet been 'examined' carefully by the ppl that know!!
