I used to get the same years ago, but unfortunately, nothing made much difference. However about ten years ago ,i had a bad skin infection, which was totally resistant to antibiotics and was eating up the skin on the lower half of my body, I turned to Chinese medicine, acupuncture and herbs, and that helped to turn the corner. Since then I've had no eczema at all, although I know that if I drink black tea (with or without milk) my skin starts to itch ,so I've given that up. Green tea and coffee seem fine for me though.
I have also found out about Myrrh, the tincture of which, in a little olive or almond oil,or moisturiser, really helps healing. It even stops a cold sore before it starts if applied neat at the first signs.
I also recommend meditation for any illness, as releasing old tensions ,physical and psychological, seems to allow old illnesses to pass more easily. It may not always work, but I'm convinced that it did for me.

my baby son has eczema which is agravated through milk products and the weather. you need to be using oil based products in the bath/shower that are not perfumed oilatum is fantastic try using exfoliating gloves from the body shop these removed the dead skin cells and stimulate the blood vessels to produce healthy skin. Use non biological washing powder and sensitive conditioner. for after shower moisturising use the hemp body butter from the body shop at night time before bed this only costs a tenner and lasts for ages. During the day use aloe vera body balm available from the body shop too, they do loyalty cards so you can get discounts so don't forget to ask!
Hope this has been useful and you stop itching soon

Go to the doctors and get a steroid creme. I had exzema on my arm earlier this year and that's what I used. I now moisturise daily with Nivea Body with Q10+.

Nothing that is caused by stress can be treated successfully without getting rid of the stressor. I use a perscription cream that eases the itching but does not cure it. Ask a dermatologist to perscribe Clobetasol Propionate Cream USP 0.05%. I have had my stress condition for 17 months and counting. Its eased a lot since I retired from Federal service.

I have had excema since I was born. I have tried many different things, from bath products all the way to predisone. I have found a cream, it is a steroid I belive, it is called Elcon. This cream works like a charm! When I break out, I rub it on the area and I only have to use it once and my rash is gone within 1-2 days. I swear by this cream! You can get it by prescription only though. Hope this helps you.

Mix some sea salt (fine grain) in olive oil and gently scrub your arms. Rinse off, no soap and voila! Cheap, cheerful and very effective. Olive oil as a moisturiser works brilliantly. Seriously. A little goes a long way, you don't have to look like a chip!
Good luck.

My little girl suffers especially in the heat. Boots do a very good range of moisturisers and bath products especially for people with eczema,

I also get it when stressed
I find the "simple" range of soaps and moisturisers are then only ones I can use.
Also when I'm bad I find it helps not to use afershaves or hot clothing

Go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and check out their Sea Salt Scrub and their Intelligence Skin Conditioning Oil. I was just at a conference and one of the speakers said she had Eczema so bad and nothing was working so she tried these two products and she cleared up and has stayed cleared using these products.
Good luck to you.

It's eczema and yes, cetaphil is so good for this dry skin condition. It's very important to keep your skin moisturized in order to control the break outs. You should also limit your intake of fish, milk, eggs and peanut butter. Food allergies also aid in the skin becoming extremely dry. Good Luck.
