Where do you get your sources? I doubt that it comes from just illegal immigrants. It is the most common type of Hepatitis in the United states and spread through unsanitary condition (as to why illegal immigrants MAY get it more than other children, not many of them know personal hygiene well).

I agree some vaccinations are just plain stupid to get and we should say no to. Like the flu vaccine. New strains come around every year and whats the point in getting it if we are just going to get the flu anyways? Its just a total unneccesary shot. With the important diseases that hurt children like HIB, Hep B, Meningitis, and Measle, Mumps, Rubella I find completely neccessary to keep my child out of the hospital. My daughter has shown no reaction to any of her shots, and I am thankful. If she were I would no longer take her to get any immunizations.

Hepatits A may or may not be neccessary for your childs well-being. The only way to know is to research the disease and the vaccine for certain risks and symptoms.

It should have been said a long time ago! I hate taking my babies in and having them receive 2-4 shots every few months. I understand that these are here to possibly save my child's life, but they are receiving around 20 shots in their first 18 months and this number keeps growing. Ones like the chicken pox vaccine do not even prevent the disease it just helps prevent the worst cases. I have problems with vaccines like that. The new one for cancer is soon to have the ages set, if it has not already, and will be given to all female children.

Of course, if the country would get control of the Illegal immigrant problem then we could save our children from one. But that's another subject :)

We can say enough is enough from the very first vaccine. My 10 month old has never been vaccinated and won't unless she comes to an age where she can decide to do it herself, and does. Here's why : http://www.vran.org Vaccine Risk Awareness Network

I think it's important to AT LEAST wait until a chlid is older to vaccinate. They can actually compromise the immune system, and most babies are not out enough to be exposed to any of the illnesses that they're vaccinated for anyway.

I've got my baby getting every vaccine out there, I think. It's just better than getting the disease, IMHO. He's a little boy, so I don't think they'll give him the HPV (that's the "cancer" one mentioned above.)

I personally went back and got Twinrix (combo Hep A & B vaccine) due to changing professions - hadn't heard anything about illegal immigrants being the risk factor, though, I was told the risk factor was water/food contamination.

WHAT? Are you serious?

You know what really pissed me off last night? I had my kids in the pool after dinner. My one year old (both of my kids, actually) has very sensitive skin, so we have to watch what we use as far as soap, laundry detergent, etc. or he'll break out into a contact dermatitis (not contagious, and not unpleasant for the baby...it just looks like a mildly bumpy, pink rash). So anyway, we're sittoing on the ledge of the pool and I'm gently trying to ease us in (I live in Georgia and it's warm here, but the water felt cool to me...I can imagine how it was to him!) and this little Mexican girl walks/floats up to him. She grabs his hand and wat chattering something in Spanish. Her mom comes swimming over and grabs her hand away. She yells something to her in Spanish and the girl goes away. She looks at me and says in VERY VERY broken English, "Why his cheek red?" It was red because the water was cold from where I was floating him around/lightly splashing him, trying to get him used to the water temp. She jerked her kids hand away like my son had AIDS and was bleeding openly in the pool. Excuse me, but first of all you nasty skank, you can't even speak English, you kid can't speak english, so what are the chances you're even LEGAL? (We have a huge problem with illegals in the Atlanta area...it's disgusting). And she has the nerve to look at MY baby who goes to the doctor regularly for well-baby visits, vaccines, gets a bath every day, etc. like he's a friggin leper? God **** that pissed me off. And now they're recommending we have our kids vaccinated against Hep A because of these f****** moochers? Oh Hell no...

If its going to keep my baby safe... go for it...

But my personal experience is when I had the Flu Shot, I still got sick... and as bad as I used to before having the shot... so i saw no benefit from it.

There is no proof that vaccines prevent any disease. Yet there is lots of proof that they do great harm.

That's the bottom line.
