Okay - you're right this is serious on two counts:

1. Your doctor is not listening - telling you to put ice on it is not helping, if your diet is sensible and balanced with enough fibre then you should not be in this pain - he should have checked your diet with you and given you some support to improve your fibre intake. A lot of people think they have a healthy diet but dont realise the corners they are cutting, ensure you get plenty of fibre by eating the skins of fruit & vegetables wherever possible, also by having a whole wheat breakfast cereal or brown / wholemeal carb options (bread, rice, cereal etc).
2. If you really are having enough fibre then it is likely something in your digestive system is not functioning correctly - this CAN be very serious. (Personally - I suffer from a problem like this where my bowels & digestive tract has narrowed so much if I eat a very small amount of fibre it gets blocked infected and then I have to be hospitalized to get it fixed - that means surgery for me!)

You must return to your doctor and force them to take you seriously - I was fobbed off for 15 years before they started to take me seriously, I was called a hypochondriac, told I my clothes were too small and that was causing me pain, all sorts - and I have now got my own private consultant who handles all my operations! Its expensive but at least I now know I wasn't being silly!

Make them listen - and good luck!

Sounds like hemmeroids that are really irritated. If the doc isn't worried then I will make some suggestions
1. preparation H or something similar.
2. OTC (over the counter) stool softener capsules. Take them every day.
3. increase your leafy greens dramatically
4. cut back on nuts, cheese and other foods that cause bulk.
5. Occasional warm soak in a tub rather than a shower.

You can try preparation H or a sitz bath, both of which are located over-the-counter. Warm baths also help. If this doesn't help, either go back to that doctor and tell him you want a REAL solution in the form of a prescription for ProctoFoam or ProctoCream. Alternatively, find a doctor with half a brain - good luck with that unfortunately.

You need to change your diet so that you do not have to strain to go. Also, use a lubication cream to help things flow with less pain (`Germaloids, or Preparation H or Boots equivalent) until this attack has healed. You sound too young to need medical treatment as Drs only give advice unless piles are severe.
Stop eating bread and flour based products for a week and see the improvement - you will be amazed.

I'd go see a proctologist or a gastroenterologist to find out if you have a bad case of hemorrhoids or something more serious. They would have to scope you to know for sure.

In the mean time, drink as much water as you can and have a VERY high fiber diet.

Sounds like hemorrhoids possibly. I've gotten mild flare ups from time to time and there is definite discomfort, bleeding and stinging. I might try a hemorrhoid product for a couple of days. Of course, seeing a doctor is a definite good idea if things persist.

You need some hemorrhoid cream. I got one of those after having my baby. It's embarrassing and it hurts a lot. It will go away with time. Get some Preparation H. It really works.

does sound like piles. You can get a cream at the chemists that will help a lot, also increase your water and fibre intake to soften the stools and make everything a bit easier, definately don't strain, take your time, and do see the doctor, they can often help and they won't be at all embarrassed to examine you.

You can often relieve the mild pain, swelling and inflammation of hemorrhoids with home treatments. Often these are the only treatments needed https://tr.im/wyNlc

With these treatments, hemorrhoid symptoms often go away within a week. See your doctor if you don't get relief in a week, or sooner if you have severe pain or bleeding.

Sounds like you got hemorrhoids. If you can find it, there is a product called "Anusol Extra Strength" it s got a lot of lidocaine in it. That will make it feel better. Preparation H dont do nuthin....In a pinch , extra strength Vagisil works ok
