the answer is quite simple the moon reflects no light correct the moons surface is a grayish tint that does not shine with out the sun thats why we hav phases qrt. moon full. moon .new moon. and a blue moon well when the sun light reflects of the grayish tint it looks like a grayish tint to ur eye.

There is no color white. Light has 3 base color components
Red, Blue and green. If you mix all these 3 base color light in equol strength it looks white.

Moon reflects all those color light in amost equol strength . So blended color looks white.
