Rock band ever? wow! there are many...Led Zep, The Doors, The Who, Pink Floyd, Hendrix...etc...all those classics...today's bands are all influenced by the greats!
a new great rock band would be Audioslave!

Obviously this is gonna be totally a matter of opinion but for me it's the original and best...
The Rolling Stones
Saw them live at Earls Court, London in 1976 when I was 4 rows back from the stage - fantastic!

Right about it being a matter of opinion for me i would have to say and i cant believe i'm saying this but BON JOVI they started it of for me thats the band that got me into rock like for so many other people as well,other mentions include AEROSMITH those guys can stand the test of time,METALLICA best live band i ever saw,OZZY nothing more said on him,and not forgetting GUNS n ROSES for just all out attitude and the greatest song of all time Sweet child o mine

well i like a lot of bands but i would have to say the greatest rock band of all times is Queen they are so good but right now in this day i would say Taking Back Sunday...i hope that was what you were looking for!!!!
