I highly recommend "The Baby Book" by William Sears, M.D. and his wife Martha Sears, R.N. It goes from the birth to two years old. If you're worried you won't like it, get if from your library first (look up the latest edition on Amazon first so you know you're getting the most accurate one from the library) and if you like it, buy it! Great investment. As with any book, you may not agree with everything (who does) but you get a lot from this one! Enjoy.

I swear by Naturally Healthy Babies and Children by Aviva Jill Romm- it's written by a midwife and has lots of natural remedies that you can give to babies, and the greatest part is that you dont need to buy a different one when they're bigger! She covers babies and children.

The American Academy of Pediatrics has a great book for ages birth to 5. If you sign up for Publix supermarkets' baby club they send it to you for free. The title is "THE COMPLETE AND AUTHORITATIVE GUIDE CARING FOR YOUR BABY AND YOUNG CHILD". It has day to day care, developmental milestones, safety issues and tips, firs aid, and of course very clear medical information. Hope this helps!
