Here's a vague answer for a somewhat vague question. Fitted clothes are the most flattering for anyone. The basic idea for anyone when it comes to clothes is to accentuate the smallest part of your body, your waist. When you shop you want things that are going to make you look like a "curvy" girl instead of a "big"
girl. Try shopping for essentials at Lane Bryant and Torrid, they make great clothing that is fashionable as well as practical. Another important thing to remember is to NOT wear clothing that is too tight. You want it to accentuate the places you want noticed and camoflague any places you are insecure about, maybe a tummy. Anyother help you need feel free to email me. Good luck!

It depends on what area you want to hide. I know that I like wearing longer shirts so it hides my stomach more, but I like to accentuate my shoulders and chest. Just make sure that you wear something that accentuates your best features and draws attention to that area. That way people don't notice the parts of you that you don't want them to notice. Solid colors work, vertical lines, nothing too light in color, diagnol lines could work depending on how they're used. Good luck! (Oh, avoid large designs because those will draw attention. They aren't flattering on anyone unless you're a size 0 or something).

I would suggest bootcut jeans & empire waist styled dresses/ tops. Go for big prints on an A-line dress. Avoid horizontal stripes. Wear strapless sandals with a kitten heel as it elongates your entire look. Another fool-proof method is to put on an outfit in a monochrome color, you can go crazy with accessories to spice up the outfit.

wrap type tops or dresses. tops that come in at the waist. verticle stripes. fitted button up shirts. black pants. v-stiped skirts. tops that have a strip/ribbon underneath the bust. flowing clothes. peasant-type clothes. i used to be big. so this helped. also sweatshirts work wonders during winter.

i'm kinda a big girl and i really like higher waisted shirts, or the fashion tops with a belt around the waist, i think they are both really slimming and cute too.
