I wouldnt know what to do with $10 million dollars, but $20,000 would be greatly appreciated. It would allow me to pay off a couple of bills and free up some of my monthly income to start a college fund for my daughter.
As far as why you should give it to me, I doubt there is an answer or reason I could give that would make me any more deserving than anyone else.
Personally, if you actually do have $10 million that you want to give away, i am sure there are several charities that would love a piece of that much money...maybe something like Project Smile or research into Autism.

O.K., even though this question is hypothetical, i am going to answer this question with honestly and seriousness..
If you give me the money, first thing i would do is to start a profitable business and invest the money in real estate. Not just US real estate but in other foreign real estate such as in Mexico, where an investor could purchase around 6 acres for about eight hundred thousand and develop it and sell the final condos/house to US retirees.... By the way, that is a growing market, yesterday i went to Baja and saw some development and they were already 85% sold out.... The cheapest house cost around $300,000 and the most expensive house was little over 1.2 million...anyways..that what i would do....I would also make you my partner..lol....

the truth of the matter is that if you were looking to give the money away then i don't think any one individual should get it all. by breaking down the 10 million in brackets of let say 500k then you will be able to help 20 people directly and 100's indirectly ( meaning their family and friends) also when you are giving this money away the benefit to you would be a tax deductible right off especially if it is give to charities. But if you would have to give it away to one person then i think that one persons should be your son/daughter/family. as for myself i don't think that you should give it to me there are many more deserving people than I. that's not to say i would not be happy with the money and that it would not help me greatly. either way it is you money do what you want and if that's giving it away i will take it if you would like me to. Thanks Nicholas

I would start a movie production, small scale at first, so we can have an alternative to Hollywood remakes. Maybe buy a cable channel and show movies from scrips developed from ordinary people who never get a chance to get theirs read.
Also, I would start a Research and Development business and develop my new engine for cars which will be worth a few billion. No more gasoline, and then make loans to the gas companies.

For many years, my husband and I have wanted to start an organization whose main purpose is providing search and rescue services for missing children free of charge. It would include a training school for search and rescue dogs and handlers and specialized housing for working dogs.
Other additional functions we have considered for our organization include a no-kill animal shelter and a rehabilitation and career training center for the homeless and impoverished.
That's what I would do with $10 million. Well, I would probably save half a mil or so to put all my kiddos through college, too. :)

I would love to receive 10 Million Dollars.
I would use some for income and to guarantee my retirement. The rest I would use to help people out. I do not mean something self righteous like "Help the poor", but to be able to personally be able to find people who can't afford a wheelchair, or who can't afford to go to college. Things like that.
I would try and make the gifts anonymous. Otherwise people would start pestering. It would be best to simply try and find the people in need without them knowing about it first. Then just be able to walk up and make their day.

Because I illuminate beauty from within and with that much money, I could do wonderful things in my own little world of art. Because I am not shallow and I would use the power of money for good, not just going out and buying useless material objects. I have no need for them, and also, it would bond us together for a lifetime...

I need the money, and will manage it very well by investing in small businesses for future profits. There're also needs out there that I've wanted to reachout to but couldn't because of very limited finances.
