Garth Brooks has left a legacy of respectable music that has more than crossed over to the mainstream. His hiatus was timely since he had reached his goals in the 90's and broken all records in the industry and needed to relax a bit. While he starts his new family, he is probably working on a new perspective that will capture the world by the ear and break all the records for sales, awards and perhaps movie soundtracks.

I like a lot of them but I have to go with Alan Jackson. I had tickets to see him a few years ago, and then 9/11 happened. So, about a month after the attacks, I got to see him in concert and he did "Where were you when the world stopped turning?" I still get chills thinking about how powerful the atmosphere in that arena was while he sang that.
