Hip-Hop & Rap: In some songs I can relate to but there are other songs that I can't relate to because all these rappers be talking about is sex, money, drugs, gangs, the hood, their bitches, body parts and how they got there baby's mama pregnant at a young age. But other than that, I listen to it because some songs/artist use there beats and lyrics well. And besides I'm poor, live in the ghetto and that's pretty much all the music I here in NYC.
Slow Jams & Jazz: I like the music because it's soothing and it helps to clam me down. And I love to sing along with the romantic lyrics.
Rock & Punk: I rarely listen to some of this music but there are some songs I like because they have a good rhythm or I can relate to the song. But other than that I don't really listen to this music.
Heavy Metal- Rap: There's only one band I listen to that has both of these combinations, Linkin Park. Reason why? I don't know.
Foreign music: I like to here the different languages and cultures and how they sing/speak to this weird beat that's playing.
Reggaton: I like the beat in this music it makes me feel like dancing, and besides I am Honduran, so how can I not like my own Latin music??? But there are some songs I can't stand because the artist chooses these sad lyrics and yet they have this great booty shaking music playing, it makes no sense to me... Are we suppose to be grinding to some sad *** music? I don't think so, but people seem to enjoy it... So you can imagine how I'm picky at the songs I like in this music.
Other music: I either like it because it has this beat that I can feel and it makes me wanna shake what my mama gave me or I can relate to the song.

Depends on the mood. But every one from the 50s to the early 90s and some 00s is cool with me as long as its not Heavy metal rock.

I listen to alternative rockabilly 80's classical kroq and jack station I can relate to the music and it relaxes me

It depends on my mood,at times I want to hear music that touches my soul and at other times I just want to feel the beat pulsating through my body . I like every thing from rap to classical violin concertos.What ever reaches out to me is what I like to hear.

80's newwave[big audio dynamite] when im calm or happy
metal/death metal/hardcore [job for a cowboy]when im hyper/happy or mad
indie acoustic [gregory and the hawk]when im bored
slow rock with piano [muse] when im in the mood.
electronica/ wierd crap [gravy train] when im feeling silly. haha
different generas for different moods
