I for some reason, really favor the movie Pretty Pink. I just love the line where Molly R. says, "I just want to let them know, that they didn't break me." Oh my gosh, thats my motivation. I wasn't born in the 80s, althrough I grew up watching these movies with the moms, and for some reason now, I really love them lol.

I think that these movies all have the same teeny-bopper themes but I looooooooooove Pretty in Pink. I like when Ducky starts singing "Try a Little Tenderness" by Otis Redding (I got hooked on that song b/c of Ducky). I also love that she sticks to her guns throughout the whole movie and doesn't succumb to peer pressure.

I've never seen sweet 16, but I have seen 16 candles and that was great I mean I'll take Jake Ryan any day.
Molly usually ended up with some pretty hot guys.
I love a lot of the John Hughes films though.

I love John Hughes. He also did Ferris Buellers Day Off, Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, Weird Science, some National Lampoon's movies, Home Alone, Curly Sue.. among others

'Pretty in Pink" was overwrought; "The Breakfast Club" had some OK acting but was rather predictable.
"Sweet 16" is really "16 Candles"?
