I will give details why this might be:
* Lily gave her life up for Harry. Why you ask? Was it to protect him or not? Well, she gave up her life for Voldemort. You see, it is not a loss for her to die when Harry is the one who could kill Voldemort. It is not a loss. If Voldemort killed her it was no loss when she had Harry. Lily was working for Voldemort!!!
* Lily saw Harry in the Mirror of Erised in the 1st book. Why did Voldemort want the mirror? Well, yes he wanted to get the stone, but is there something else? Yes... Voldemort knew that Harry was looking at his mother earlier in the story. So, Voldemort went to see the other thing he most desired...Which was to talk to Lilly Potter. She was dead, so how would he talk to her... He wanted to find Harry so he had to ask Lilly.
* Spoiler of 6th book: In the book, in Harry's private lessons he sees his mother's father and mother, right? So... His grandma was really bad so Lilly must be also... Tell me what you think about the this!

I really don't think so because she hadn't heard the prohphecy so she wouldn't have known Harry was the one who could kill Voldemort, and besides if she was really working with him them 1) she would have just given Harry up instead of protecting him 2) they probably would have gone after Neville instead, cause HArry would be on the bad side already
Also, I don't think you could talk to anyone through the mirror, just look at them. And plus it shows you your innermost desire, which is probably for Voldemort somthing like total domination, or at least at the time the Philosophers stone so he could achieve total domination
Furthermore, lots of wizards with bad parents did not turn bad themselves. Just look at Sirius

No she wasn't - JK Rowling get quite insulted when anyone suggests that James or Lily Potter were anything but good and normal (well as normal as they could be)
