Seriously. I'm not that old and it seems every morning I wake up and the bags get more pronounced. I've tried a couple of products that say they help with the darkness of bags, but nothing has really helped. I'd really like to avoid botulinum toxin (botox) if possible - in the interest of preserving the ability to have facial expressions.

I've always been the same way! For years I would wake up--after 6, 8, even 10 hours of sleep-- and have dark circles and bags. Then I realized that it only happened if I slept on my stomach or side.

So I sleep only on my back now, and I keep my head elevated a bit, and the problem is reduced dramatically. Now I only get them if I don't actually get enough sleep, instead of every single night.

And, regarding the Preperation-H: There's a chemical that's in some formulas of Prep-H that's supposed to help with this, but that chemical isn't found in all of their products. If you do try this, search online for the right brand to use.

Do the circles get darker when you have your period? If they do you may be borderline anemic. Try eating more leafy greens (spinich, kale, etc) to bring up the iron content in your blood. I've had this problem all my life and it always gets worse when I'm run down. That's the dark circles end of it.
Now for the bags. Really puffy bags that you need a quick fix - use an herbal hemmeroid cream (it shrinks swollen tissues - doesn't matter where they're located). As a preventative, when soaking in your bath place two wet tea bags over your eyes. The tannin in the tea leaves tightens the skin. A good multi-vitamin with vitamins A and D will help out as well.

Go to www.wonderful.myarbonne.com and check out the RE9 Repair, Corrective Eye Cream. I had dark circles that always made me look tired and after using this product for 1 week there was a huge difference. I look refreshed everyday now and I love it.

No Botox, that is an agent that paralyzes muscles and won't have any effect on dark circles. I have tried most everything under the sun and have had luck with Clinique Repairwear eye cream.

Drink more water so that you are well hydrated. Sleep at least 8 hours a night.

Also, you might be waking up constantly at night and then going right back to sleep and not even know it, that could be related to breathing problems (especially if you snore alot) or having a bed that is not good for you.

Not to make you feel old, but my mom uses the Mary Kay eye products. She has really sensitive eyes and these do not bother her and they also help firm the skin and make them not puffy. I think you could try a concealer too. Use my beauty consultants website. You can even contact her with questions cuz she's real nice. www.marykay.com/adina_k

its a respiratory problem related to asthma, mild cases usually go un diagnosed. Upper respiratory problems prevent good circulation about your sinuses, also can be caused by fungal infections in your sinuses.. You need to see an ENT and get proper medical treatment ,, the sooner the better..
NOT Al Gorelioni ,, thank you

It sounds weird, but preparation H can help with bags. I don't know if it helps with the darkness, but it will help with puffiness. Cucumbers are also supposed to help with that. You might want to check to see if you have allergies, as this can sometimes cause darkness under your eyes from sinus problems that accompany them. (Something I know a little about. :) )

Smear a little preparation-H under your eyes (the cream, not the ointment) it really works!
