There seems to be a lack of concensus so I figured I'd offer it up. Here's the important info to consider:

* 20 rushing yds = 1 pt
* 20 receiving yds = 1 pt
* Rush/Rec TDs = 6 pts
* 10 team league, start 1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 te, 1 flex (rb/wr/te), 1 k. 8 bench spots, no IR.
* No other considerations for keepers (e.g. no forfeiture of draft picks to keep players)
* My other keeper is Larry Johnson
* I am an Eagles fan who loves Westbrook and knows what he is capable of, but I'm concerned about his durability (or lack thereof). However, solid starting RBs are commodities in our league and the scoring system is very friendly to a RB like Westbrook.
* I think Larry Fitzgerald will be a top 3 WR by season's end. However, there always seems to be decent WRs in the free agent pool, and I will likely be able to draft someone of Torry Holt's ilk if I keep Westbrook.

Thoughts?

You keep Larry Fitzgerald. He is a straight stud and he is so young. Westbrook has serious durability issues and isn't called on enough to make 100 yds rushing a game. he does catch well and thats a plus, but with arizona getting Edge, it will open up the passing game a lot. but on the same note, with TO gone, defenses will start to cue in on Westbrook since he is the only decent player left for the Eagles, and eventually he is going to be shut down week in and week out.

I don't see any rules favorable to RBs. With Matt Leinart soon to be the MAN in Arizona, Larry should be even greater. You're just worried that everyone else will have two RBs. If you rank Larry in the top 3 at WR, then the other owners have kept a second or third rounder at RB and you have an all-star. While they are panicking for WRs, you can calmly grab Westbrook or any other stud available.

The way I'd look at it is would I draft L. Fitz over Westbrook in a draft...and I'd say...no. WR's are easier to come by. Westbrook is a solid RB...yes w/ IR risk, but great upside...so get his handcuff Moats late. Fitz is a nice receiver... probably top 10..but I'd rather have Holt too. With Edge and Boldin, Fitz may struggle to get same pts as last year...sharing the TD's (he got the lions share last year). IF the defense improves...they will not be behind as often...they will run some more with Edge...more balance. Who will lose out Boldin or Fitz or both?

Keep Fizgerald. Most people say keep the RB first, but this isn't a top tier RB. Fitzgerald has amazing potential and could be this year's best fantasy WR, Westbrook will likely be this year's 20-25th best fantasy RB. You should be able to get a better RB in the first round of your draft, and maybe get Westbrook back in the 2nd round of your draft.

It'd be helpful if you mentioned how many RBs and WRs you have to start. It makes a difference. In an 8 team league, I feel like you need quality at every position. But I wouldn't reach to get it though. In an 8 team league, giving up a 2nd and 3rd rounder for Brees and Fitzgerald is way too high. Keep Alexander and go fishing for another RB. Don't wait too long on QB, but you can't lose a 2nd rounder on Brees.
