i know all guys say it does...but i've been with my bf for years, and i'd feel so stupid gettin up there dancing and trying to be sexy after it's been so long.

It might be different if you did it while on holiday in your hotel room. Just somewhere unfamiliar, new and exiting. Maybe after a bit of shopping on your own when you have some new underwear and shoes that he hasn't seen? Maybe something a little more risque than usual? Just an idea, hope it helps.

Yes- guys are visual - most guys will love it - make sure you are wearing something really sexy and lacy. You could try the new gym workout program for women only that teaches you stripping techniques on how to strip or learn to pole dance.
I suggest you take your guy out for a walk in the park on a warm summer evening. Wear a button up dress or blouse and skirt. As you both walk and talk <----very important for you... unbutton a button every few minutes. You can undo one at the top and the next one from the bottom - then one from the middle, keeping the strategic ones buttoned. Then find a picnic table and bend over it while lifting up your dress/skirt. Then go walk some more. At another table or sitting bench, sit down and pull up your skirt/dress. Then go walk some more. Finally, once you are fully aroused, and he should be by now, go find a private dark place to finish the stripping. Then both of you can do what comes naturally next.
Remember, keep on the lookout for joggers or dog walkers - it's really fun to flash after they just went by.

It isn't just the strip, it is also what follows the strip. Everybody knows men are visual and touch sensitive. Think of it along the same lines as a sexy nighty... All it is is foreplay. You can think of it in a couple of ways but here are two. 1. depends on if we have just come home from a event or if things got started before getting home. if its just at home then i'd rather we just take our time and unwind with a bottle of wine and go with the flow. i understand about being together a long time, so you have to change the scene now and then and time of day...
